Join the Alzheimer's Caregivers Support Group Meeting on Nov. 16

Music can be a powerful tool and can enrich the lives of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Studies have shown music may reduce agitation and improve behavioral issues that are common with the disease. But music as therapy is not just for your loved one. As a caregiver, music can be your therapy as well. Whether it is creating your own playlist to lift your mood when you have a “down day” or just taking pleasure in watching your loved one become engaged, music can make your heart soar.

Music therapy will be a topic at our next meeting on Saturday, November 16, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at New Life In Christ Lutheran Church (311 S. Cockrell Hill Road, Duncanville, TX 75116). Everyone is invited. Healthy refreshments are always served and everything is FREE. Please note we will not meet in December due to the Christmas holidays. For more info please call 972-296-2035 and leave a message if no answer for a return call.
