Join us on Saturday, 11 April 2015, for this fifth annual event to honor the memory of Coach David Milson and to raise funds for area charities. The event is organized by Cedar Hill Lions Club Charities, Inc and Cedar Hill ISD Athletics.

This event is named in memory of David Milson, long-time head coach of the Cedar Hill High School basketball team, who twice took his team to the Class 5A state title game. Coach Milson succumbed to lung cancer in 2011, despite being a non-smoker. While David’s achievements as a basketball coach were numerous, his true legacy will be the contributions he made as a teacher, friend and family man.

All proceeds from The David Milson Legacy Run go to Cedar Hill Lions Club Charities, Inc., a 501(c)3 corporation affiliated with the Cedar Hill Lions Club.

Lions Clubs International has 46,000 clubs and 1.35 million members in 207 countries, making us the world's largest service club organization. We're also one of the most effective. Our members do whatever is needed to help their local communities. Everywhere we work, we make friends. With children who need eyeglasses, with seniors who don’t have enough to eat and with people we may never meet. Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. Our members are different in many ways, but share a core belief – community is what we make it.

The Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) programs are focused in four main areas: preserving sight, supporting youth, providing disaster relief, and meeting humanitarian needs.

Texas Lions Clubs support: Lions Clubs International Foundation; Texas Lions Camp for children with physical disabilities, diabetes, and cancer; Texas Lions Foundation for humanitarian and disaster relief; Lions Sight & Tissue Foundation; World Services for the Blind; Julien C Hyer Lions Youth Camp; Leader Dogs for the Blind; Sports Extravaganza for blind and visually impaired students; New Horizon Diabetic Day Camp and more.
