Old Chisholm Trail NSDAR Celebrates Constitution Week

Old Chisholm Trail, a chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, is celebrating Constitution Week with a number of special activities in the Best Southwest area.  Led by Regent Pat Thibodeau and Chair Melissa Stewart, the patriotic group issued proclamations thanking the Mayors and council members of Glenn Heights, Ovilla, Midlothian, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, Oak Leaf, Red Oak and DeSoto for supporting Constitution Week.

Pictured are three presentations, including OCT Regent Thibodeau with Mayor Leon Tate at Glenn Heights' City Council meeting; Honorary Regent Bobby Hill with Red Oak's Mayor Alan Hugley; and Honorary Regent Lucille Ames with Cedar Hill's Mayor Rob Franke and Melissa Stewart presenting Proclamation at the council meeting.

Old Chisholm Trail (OCT) will also hold bell ringings on September 17 in Dallas, DeSoto, Duncanville, Glenn Heights and Grand Prairie.  Members will be in period costumes for these ceremonies.

OCT members will attend a Dallas Area Regents Council Constitution Week luncheon September 19, and have been displaying Constitution Week posters at libraries in DeSoto, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, Midlothian and Red Oak.
